Yamaha Flying Samurai 1967
Wow! Here is a very special guitar. This guitar was developed by Yamaha in the mid 60’s for the Japanese surf rock market. It has a very slim neck with a rosewood fingerboard, zero fret, 24 3/4” scale, and 22 frets. The vibrato system is reminiscent of a Jazzmaster but it is very stable and very useful. The pickups are three single coils. There is a three way switch, volume and tone, and a knob that blends the two single coils in the bridge position for a wide variety of tones. Look at that headstock! It has certainly been played and it sort of looks like it was abandoned for some years before it got to us. It is certainly not perfect! Has some patina on the beautiful gold hardware and the binding has shrunken along the fingerboard. Sounds amazing, plays amazing. Comes with a gig bag
