Fender Coronado I

The Fender Coronado was originally manufactured from 1966 to 1972. With a fully hollow body design and a humbucking pickup from DeArmond, it was rather different from the rest of their lineup, consisting mostly of twangy-sounding solid bodies. Fender introduced the Cornado in response to the increasing popularity of hollowbody designs from other manufacturers like Gibson.

This specimen is a Coronado I, the first version of the instrument that was actually discontinued in 1970 in favor of the two pickup Coronado II. It is in beautiful cosmetic condition, plays and sounds great! There is a fair amount of fret wear, which does not affect the playability currently but may need addressing with continued use. Includes a hardshell case!
